Copper
CoxMHP utilizes copper in many of its projects involving tools and dies. Pure copper is soft and malleable and a good conductor of heat and electricity. We can transform copper into a lot of different tools and mix it with other materials to make the best product possible. The low hardness of copper partly explains its high electrical conductivity and high thermal conductivity.
CoxMHP uses copper as a base for a lot of materials for building out projects and tooling jobs. Copper can be utilized to build out a lot of products from handtools to metal tubing and kitchen sinks. Let us show your company how we can build out amazing products and parts for your jobs. Usually, a soft metal like aluminum will be mixed with copper.
Copper tubing is most often used for water lines, and as refrigerant lines in HVAC systems. Copper tubing is joined using flare connection, compression connection or solder. Copper offers a high level of corrosion resistance. Soft copper tubing can be bent easily to travel around obstacles. Its the only suitable style for flare connections. Its typically used in split-system air conditioners and heat pumps. Flare connectors are very reliable over many years.
CoxMHP also produces rigid copper because of its strength and popularity in water line. It’s joined using a sweat, compression or crimped/pressed connection. Rigid copper, due to the work of hardening, cannot be bent and must use elbow fittings to go around corners or obstacles. If heated and allowed to slowly cool, calling annealing, then rigid copper becomes soft and can be bent without cracking.
CoxMHP utilizes copper tubing and material in many of the projects we create.
